Good Effort

I can see you worked hard on this animation, and it shows.

However, there are some issues. Firstly, sound and voice acting are all over the place, which detracts from the movie. Voices crack a lot and volume is all over the place. Secondly, characters' appearances change at random, so there's not much consistency in face shape or stature. Also, it's fairly obvious that some parts were traced directly from copyrighted work, something which I personally have no tolerance for. Thankfully, the extent to which you did this is limited to very few scenes.

Overall good work, and I look forward to seeing your improvements in Episode 2.

Plagiarism is Plagiarism

For all your talk about form and color and its insignificance without taking into consideration the form of the whole, what you did is pretty inexcusable in my eyes. That is, taking another's work and putting your name on it.

This is tantamount to copying and pasting large portions of other peoples' essays and placing them into your own. You can argue all you want about the insignificance of form and argue that because letters can be arranged in limitless ways to form words and convey meaning, these atomic parts can be copied without discretion, but I doubt any competent English professor will buy it.

I can knowingly copy others' work with full understanding and know that what I am doing is making a copy of a copy and that just because this version of a sequence of letters and words is more popular, you have a different opinion, and it will still be plagiarism. Same thing happened here. Animation IS motion, so if you copy the motion, you copy the ANIMATION.

Tips for improvement: Don't steal other peoples' work.

Good presentation

Style was superb and stayed mostly consistent. Scene progression was interesting and used a lot of camera angles to show the fight, which I liked. Animation-wise, I felt that the sword looked too weightless the way it was being handled. Slicing through something with a sword requires the body's full force behind it, with proper technique of course, so there should be more movement in the legs and lower body to provide the momentum for each swing. Overall nice work though.

Its true I forgot or missed some details about that, Ill try to improve this kind of things on my future animations :)

Lol anime.

Funny as hell, as usual. Too bad most anime is ridiculously bad and painful to watch. Anyone really jaded by anime and general lack of anything good to watch in that medium should watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and the Compilation Movies. They are made of 100% win.

Cool toon

Animation was nice and smooth. That one creature in the cave didn't move too well though. I suggest taking the next step and try animating more complex shapes and attempting more complex movement. Wouldn't recommend using the same method you used for this movie though. It would take too long :P

well my next flash is gonna be done on the computer anyway, so that might suit you more

Nice work!

I like your distinct style of animation. It's very zany. Sometimes the tweens and shape distortions were distracting, but overall characters moved in interesting ways. Watch the weight though, sometimes characters moved a little too weightlessly, especially Bowser at the beginning.

Nice.

I'm one who prefers the LH manga over the anime, so I might have some bias in saying that I didn't like the character designs (since they were traced from the anime, not the manga). If you could trace from the manga instead I'd like this better.. but what am I saying. Great job, it musta been hard work making this.

I know, just a test.

This just caught my eye cuz your art looks like how my art used to look like.
Just for future projects: cleaner art and cleaner animation?
Animating human figures is pretty damn hard; I suggest studying good quality (FLCL quality) animations or anime and watch some parts frame-by-frame to get the feel of the movements. It sure helped me.

Van-pl responds:

Well, i was curious what your art looked like but i found nothing made by you, so i really couldn't compare myself to yo.

I see you're a piece of fucking perfectionist. And seriously, FLCL quality is too much for me. Maybie 2-3 authors on the newgrounds can actually compare themselves to it. I get the feel of the movement.

Anyway, making something like FLCL would take one person a life, and 2 years to the professional animation studio with almost 100 men crew who were born with pencil in their hands.

And i think that animating a fly/dot/whatever isn't the true nature of fbf.

Best one maybe??

just as hilarious as the others, but this one is animated the best. and im a sucker for good animation.
